THE MISSION of SAINT JOHN the EVANGELIST PARISH We are St. John the Evangelist Parish, a baptized people of diverse backgrounds, gathered as a Catholic community of faith, united to the Diocese of Lansing and the universal Church. We are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ, responsive to the spirit within others; seeking to live out our salvation community, we commit ourselves: * To accept and live the teachings of Christ * To share the good news of God's life and love * To pass on our Catholic heritage * To follow Jesus' example of service by caring for the human needs of others and to actively pursue justice and peace for all * To be a holy people, nourished and enriched through prayer, word and sacrament.
